We removed likes, views, and follower counts because they quietly change why and how people share. Metrics turn moments into performance and memories into competition. When everything is measured, nothing is personal anymore. This is why we choose no metrics at all. This makes it harder to stalk other users but we will all benefit from the peace we get in return.

The idea of Frynds, rose after another impuls of deleting instagram. Asking the question, are we going to use Instagram for ever. We came to the conclusion that the answer was; hopefully not. This was kept in mind during the whole process of building Frynds. That it, is the right platform for any age and any stage of life.
